CyberFish was invited to exhibit at CyberUK2019 as part of the DCMS Innovation Zone, and Berta took part in the Cyber Den, pitching Dragons Den style... We did not win, but got a notable mention
The Cyber Den is as a pitching competition modelled on BBC’s Dragon’s Den that saw 12 cyber entrepreneurs compete to receive a year’s material support from the NCSC. Entrepreneurs each had 2 minutes to present their business on stage, then “Dragons”, who were engineers and technical leaders from NCSC, BT and the NCC group grilled each of us heavily: fiercely questioning everything from product details to business model!
Later on, the CEO of NCSC, Ciaran Martin announced the winner as Risk Ledger. Well done Haydn and team! We came close to the win, and settled for notable mentions for offering an innovative take on crisis response through cyber wargaming, together with Raven Science, who automate the classification of extremist videos.
2019 was the fourth year that the DCMS have sponsored CyberUK’s Innovation Zone and represented innovative cyber businesses at every stage of the maturity curve, to help them grow and scale up.
